Your First Visit
Welcome!
Our goal is to provide a personalized, unique experience, designed to address your dental and sometimes medical needs in a comprehensive manner.

You will notice our initial evaluation is very in depth. We look to gain information about you to better understand your dental goals and to best target our treatment solutions.
We hope that by getting to know you more as a person first, we can help you achieve your desired outcomes.
You are encouraged to first schedule a Virtual Consultation, so that we can spend time prior to your in-person visit getting to know more about you and your needs.

Your first In-Person visit with us consists of the following:

-
Welcome Tour: Our team will walk you through our office and workflows to help make sure you are comfortable in our treatment setting

-
Comprehensive Examination: A comprehensive head and neck, muscle, jaw joint complex, teeth, gums, and bone evaluation will be performed including an an oral cancer screening. Often times your referring provider will send over necessary x-rays, however we make take some additional ones as needed with your permission.

Models will be captured of your mouth usually with a digital device called an intra-oral scanner. Baseline measurements are also recorded for Dr. Schlam to understand your current dental conditions and formulate proper diagnoses.

Dr. Schlam will carefully evaluate her findings and present her recommendations either during the initial visit or will schedule a second consultation which is called a Treatment Plan Presentation.

Your Treatment Plan Presentation will consist of reviewing the findings from your examination, diagnoses, as well as recommended treatment options. We understand that not everyone prefers the same treatment solution therefore several options will be presented which range in treatment time, extent of rehabilitation, and cost.

Prior to your first visit please assist us by completing the New Patient Forms so that we can have the most accurate medical and dental information for your examination.
Please also alert our office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e.artificial heart valves, a history of bacterial endocarditis, congenital cardiac malformations, joint replacements, etc.).

These conditions may require you to pre-medicate with antibiotics before we can safely examine your mouth.
